Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh, is served by HSI
Airport located approximately 12 km from the city centre. About 20
international airlines are online. The airport handles approximately
100 flights per day. The terminal at HSI Airport provide
range of services and amenities for travellers including duty free
shops, hotel reservations and tourist information counters, banking,
telecoms, and postal service, restaurants, snack counters and
beverage vending booths. Smoking is prohibited in the terminal area.
Airport is being constantly upgraded to extend more facilities to
travellers.
Transportation: Yellow cabs and rent-a-car service available from
airport. It is advisable to hire cabs from authorised counters at exit
gate of arrival area. Most A-grade hotels have their own
limousine/mini bus service from airport to hotel - meant exclusively
for passengers booked in their hotels. Abundant yellow cabs available
for travel from city to airport. As the city experience constant traffic jams
it is advisable for passengers to start early for the airport to catch their
